The Department of Zoology promotes discovery and broad knowledge about the biology of animals, evolution and their environments. The holistic development of the student and make them able to contribute effectively for their welfare and society is the need of time. Our mission is to offer high quality education dedicated to building minds with social and moral responsibility. We are committed to educate our students beyond the confines of a classroom to make them better individuals and develop their personalities, enabling them to face the challenges of the modern world.

Department offers UG and PG courses with Animal Physiology as special course at PG level. We trained the Students through curriculum courses including Animal Diversity, Applied Zoology, Cell & Molecular Biology, Histology, Parasitology, Forensic Biology, Biochemistry and Biochemical Techniques, Developmental Biology, Bioinformatics, Freshwater Biology, Animal Physiology, Genetics etc practically and theoretically. 

Department also offers skill-based short term courses in Vermicomposting Technology and Pathological techniques at Level 1, 2 and 3. College has developed large scale Vermicomposting unit containing seven vermibeds. All the biodegradable waste from college garden utilized for the production of Vermicompost. Department is providing consultancy to farmers and aware them regarding the organic farming. There is separate and well equipped pathology laboratory for pathological technique skill-based course.
