About Us
Establishment:-
The department of Political Science was established in June 1968. The UG courses offered in the department are B.A. under Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. At the General level from June 1968 and at the Special level from 2020-21 CBCS pattern was implemented from the academic year 2019-20. In addition to regular courses, the department also runs an Ad-On Course to F.Y.B.A./ B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.C.A. / B.C.S. / B.Voc. The Ad – On course title is Democracy, Election and Governance. And department also runs the Ad – On course at all P.G. level in college Semester III title with Introduction to Constitution, Career Oriented course entitled “Political Leadership Development Course” which was run by college on its own funds. This course is of 60 hrs. Duration. And Department also run a Competitive Examination Guidance Center.
The department has adequate teaching faculty is working hard to achieve academic excellence in imparting education to U.G. students by providing E-learning resources in the form of E-Books, Online tests, Online Quiz, Avishkar, Study tours, And field visits.
